This policy explains what personal information ZenHost collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to provide and support your services.
1. What we collect
Account and contact details you give us: name, email, phone, business name and country.
Domain registrant details required by domain registries to register a domain in your name.
Billing information needed to take payment. Card and mobile-money details are handled by our payment provider (Paystack) — we do not store full card numbers.
Service and usage records: orders, the services provisioned for you, support messages, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the platform.
2. Why we use it
To register domains, provision hosting and email, take payment, and provide support.
To secure our platform and prevent abuse, and to meet legal and registry obligations.
To send service messages (renewals, incidents, account notices). Marketing messages, if any, are only sent with your consent and you can opt out at any time.
3. Who we share it with
Domain registries and registrar partners, as required to register and maintain your domain.
Infrastructure and email suppliers who host the services on our behalf.
Our payment provider, to process payments.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Domain registration and WHOIS
Registering a domain requires submitting registrant details to the relevant registry. Some of this may appear in public WHOIS records depending on the domain ending and any privacy option available for it.
5. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as you have an account and services with us, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, subject to obligations that require us to keep some records. To make a request, email support@zenhost.africa.
7. Security and changes
We protect accounts with hashed passwords and server-side sessions, and take reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we also ask you to keep your credentials safe.
We may update this policy; material changes will be notified.
