Terms of Service

1. Who we are

ZenHost provides web hosting, domain registration, business email and related services to businesses and individuals, primarily in Kenya and across Africa.

ZenHost is a service operated by Brandsmith Limited, which is the contracting party under these terms and the entity that receives your payments, until ZenHost is established as a registered company in its own right.

Domains are registered through our accredited registrar partners; hosting and email run on infrastructure we operate or resell. We remain your point of contact for all of it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You must give accurate contact and registrant information. Domain registries require this, and inaccurate details can cause a domain to be suspended.

3. Billing, prices and renewals

You may view prices in any currency offered by our currency selector. Converted display prices are estimates based on our current exchange rates. Before payment, checkout shows the exact amount and settlement currency that will be charged; your card issuer or bank may apply its own conversion rate or fees.

Hosting is billed monthly or annually, in advance, for the term you choose. Domains are billed per year. Services renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date; we aim to remind you before each renewal.

Payments are handled by our payment provider on behalf of Brandsmith Limited, so your card or mobile-money statement and your payment receipt may show “Brandsmith” rather than “ZenHost”. It is the same business.

Taxes are applied where required by law and shown at checkout.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel a hosting service at any time; it remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed after that. Cancellation does not by itself entitle you to a refund of the current period — see our Refund Policy.

Domain registrations follow the registry's rules and are generally non-refundable once registered — see our Domain Registration Terms.

5. Acceptable use

Your use of ZenHost must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to suspension or termination.

6. Service availability

We work to keep services available and resolve service issues promptly.

We may carry out maintenance that briefly affects a service, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

7. Liability

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the preceding period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
